Hulk Hogan was diagnosed with Leukemia before passing away.

On July 24, it was announced that Hulk Hogan had passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 71. The news came as a shock to many in the wrestling world, from fans and professionals, mourning the loss of the WWE Hall of Famer.

Before passing away, there have been rumors and reports stating that his health wasn’t in the best condition and that The Hulkster was on his “deathbed.” However, these claims were refuted by his representative and linked his issues to his previous neck surgery. As it turns out, the wrestling legend may have been dealing with a lot more.

According to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, via Page Six, the wrestling legend had a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), which is characterized by the growth of cancerous white blood cells in the bone marrow, blood, lymph nodes, and spleen.

The site also reported that the cremation summary approval report also mentioned Hulk Hogan’s history of atrial fibrillation, and that his cause of death was acute myocardial infarction, also known as a heart attack.

Eric Bischoff Shared His Last Conversation With Hulk Hogan

Despite dealing with health issues, Hulk Hogan has remained involved and active in the wrestling industry, even starting the Real American Freestyle Wrestling League with Eric Bischoff. As per the Hall of Famer, even in Hulk’s final moments, he was worried about their project.

In an episode of the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric shared that he called Hulk Hogan on the phone and could tell the latter was weak through his voice. However, despite it sounding tired, there was still an underlying energy in his voice as Hogan asked what they were doing next.

Bischoff continued that The Hulkster was talking about Real American Freestyle and was asking about what their August event would look like. Hogan also expressed that he wanted to see his fellow Hall of Famer, but didn’t want to be seen in his state in the hospital.

Finally, Eric shared that although talking was difficult, Hulk Hogan kept pushing forward and was the same guy until the end. Bischoff shared that even until the end, the wrestling legend loved the thrill of the next big idea.
