WWE’s biggest show of the year, WrestleMania 39 is all about putting on a spectacle and one Superstar is looking to steal the show by bringing back a beloved gimmick.
At WrestleMania the leader of Judgement Day, Finn Balor has a date with Edge inside the Hell in a Cell. Ever since the match was made Balor has threatened to bring back a version of himself not seen in years.
Edge and Balor have been at each other’s throats for months and simply cannot let their hatred dissipate. Ever since Balor usurped Edge from his own faction, the Judgement Day they have been locked in rivalry.
The feud led them to several heated battles including an “I Quit” match at Extreme Rules which resulted in Rhea Ripley taking out Beth Phoenix with a con-chair-to.
The four enemies met at Elimination Chamber in tag team action, but despite being defeated the group continued to target the Rated-R Superstar and his family.
After Balor attacked Edge during his United States Championship match, it was the final straw. On the March 13th episode of Raw, Edge demanded they finally settle their differences at WrestleMania inside the unforgiving structure of Hell in a Cell.
Upon accepting the challenge, Balor hinted that he has been to hell before, but it couldn’t handle his demons and spat him back out. Leading many fans to believe he could reprise his “Demon” persona.

On the March 20th episode of Raw, Edge cut a promo in which he flat-out told Balor to bring the Demon to Hollywood.
During his candlelit monologue, Edge referenced himself as the devil before bringing up his own hellish experiences inside the structure, particularly against the Undertaker at SummerSlam 2008.
The former World Champion then told his WrestleMania opponent to:
“Leave Finn at home. Bring your Demon to meet the devil.”
The last time Balor donned the Demon character was back in 2021. At Extreme Rules, Demon Balor challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.
