A massive title match has been made official for WWE Evolution 2.
July presents an interesting schedule for WWE fans around the world. The Stamford-based promotion has several major shows planned for the month, including the women-exclusive PLE, Evolution 2.
It’s bound to be an epic night, and as the weeks progress, the match card is shaping up nicely. Tonight, on RAW, a second match was added, joining the NXT Women’s Championship match between Jacy Jayne and Jordynne Grace.
In what was certainly a strange turn of events when it comes to professional wrestling, the champion issued a challenge to a specific opponent. Kicking off the show, the Women’s World Champion, Iyo Sky, challenged Rhea Ripley to a title match at Evolution 2.

Iyo Sky‘s logic is that she wants to face the best the locker room has to offer, and that is Ripley. As for The Eradicator, she gladly accepted the challenge, promising to give Sky exactly what she wants. It’s sure to be an epic match.
WWE wants to bring back Trish Stratus for Evolution 2
Speaking of Evolution 2, the match card is bound to get bigger and better. After all, two title matches are hardly enough to showcase the incredible talent WWE’s Women’s Division possesses.
With that in mind, the Stamford-based promotion is working hard on the event, and recent reports suggest that they even want Hall of Famer Trish Stratus to make a return. It would be interesting to see Stratus back in the ring just three months removed from her last appearance, but only time will tell if the company manages to get it done.
