A promising 34-year-old WWE star won her first match on Friday Night SmackDown in 154 days, with her last win coming on March 21, against Zelina Vega in a singles match. Although it took her this much time to score another victory, when she finally did, she came out all guns blazing.
The victor in question is Piper Niven, and she defeated one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Charlotte Flair, in Dublin, Ireland. Even though the Scottish wrestler received some backup from the Secret HERvice, a pinfall win over The Queen is something else.
Piper Niven Upsets Charlotte Flair On WWE SmackDown
On the August 22 episode of SmackDown, WWE kicked off its Europe Tour from Dublin, set to culminate at Clash in Paris on August 31. One of Europe’s promising talents on its roster, Piper Niven, scored a huge win over the 14-time World Champion, who had up until recently been going through a rough patch. Charlotte’s luck turned around when she joined Alexa Bliss to eventually become tag champions. However, the last thing she may have expected was a loss to Niven.

In the closing moments of the bout, Flair locked in the Figure-8, only for Alba Fyre to distract the referee. This allowed Chelsea Green to rake The Queen in the eyes, forcing the latter to break the hold. Piper Niven then hit the Piper Driver for the pinfall win.
