Where is R-Truth headed next?
Last week, WWE decided not to renew the contracts of R-Truth, Carlito, and Sarah Rowe, resulting in their departure from the promotion. This news comes after a series of recent releases in the promotion, starting from November last year. The most recent was the 17 releases, which took place last month on May 2nd, 2025.
Now, almost a week later, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter shared a major update justifying WWE’s decision not to extend R-Truth’s contract. In the same newsletter, Meltzer further shared another important update on Truth’s future. While many independent promotions are reportedly interested in signing the former United States Champion, Meltzer noted that the former multi-time champion has also harboured interests from TNA Wrestling.
“Those in TNA have already said that they want to make him an offer.”
Truth was a part of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling from 2002 to 2007, debuting under the name K-Krush, before establishing himself as Ron ‘The Truth’ Killings. During his short five-year reign there, he became a two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion and tag team champion twice.
Former World Champion Believes R-Truth Has A “Bright Future”
Recently, during his appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, former World Champion The Miz opened up on his ex-tag-team partner R-Truth’s recent exit and addressed his future.
@He is an amazing talent. Not just inside the ring, but if you listen to any of his music on Spotify or Amazon. You wanna support him, definitely go and get his music, because it’s incredible. He’s an incredible human being in the locker room, not just in the ring, and what you see outside the ring, he’s a positive aura, and I don’ t think we’ve seen the last of Ron Killings. I think that he’s an immense talent and the future is bright for him,”
