Huge Update On Bryan Danielson’s Injury Status

Bryan Danielson

A new report has claimed that Bryan Danielson could be set to miss both AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and Blood and Guts.

On June 20th, Tony Khan announced that Bryan Danielson would be appearing on the upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite to address his status for Forbidden Door.

Bryan Danielson hasn’t wrestled since Double or Nothing on May 29th due to an undisclosed injury. While it was initially reported that he would be back in action quickly, he’s yet to return to the ring.

Furthermore, Danielson recently missed a meet and greet session, as he was unable to fly due to the injury.

It has long been rumoured that Danielson would be squaring off against Zack Sabre Jr at the event, after the British star has repeatedly taken shots at the American Dragon in interviews and on social media.

However, despite it being thought that Danielson would be setting up the match with his promo on Dynamite, it has now been suggested that the star might not be medically cleared to wrestle. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that Danielson could miss both Forbidden Door and Blood and Guts on June 29th.

“The impression that I was given as of today is that he is not cleared and he might not be cleared for a while. He could show up tomorrow and they announce the match and he does it with Zack Sabre Jr. But at this point, I’m thinking that the match is not going to take place and I’m also thinking that he may not be doing Blood & Guts. But that is not confirmed,”

Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr have wrestled previously, but not for more than a decade. A bout between the two has been seen as a dream match for a number of years, with both men proclaiming to be the ‘best technical wrestler in the world.’
