Huge Title Change To Take Place At WWE NXT: New Year's Evil

The WWE NXT New Year’s Evil special is also set to be a very newsworthy show.

The promotion started out the week strong with the long-awaited premiere episode of Raw on Netflix finally taking place with notable moments including John Cena officially declaring for the Royal Rumble match and CM Punk’s triumph over Seth Rollins in the main event of the show.

Looking to capitalise on the strong momentum from the first Raw of 2025, the January 7th edition of NXT will also be loaded with big matches as 3 championships will be on the line and a new number one contender will be crowned.

According to betting odds released by Bet Online ahead of the show, Giulia is currently the favourite to dethrone Roxanne Perez and walk out of New Year’s Evil the new Women’s Champion. Giulia previously faced Perez back in October but was unsuccessful in the match that took place on the CW Network premiere. By emerging victorious in the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at Deadline, Giulia has been awarded one more shot at the gold.

Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner Oba Femi will challenge NXT Champion Trick Williams for the title in a triple threat match that will also see Eddy Thorpe look to become the new champion. Based on the current odds, Williams is the slight favourite over Femi to retain his title.

The betting odds for the show are as follows:

  • NXT Championship Triple Threat Match: Trick Williams (C) -150 (3/2) vs. Oba Femi +100 (1/1) vs. Eddy Thorpe +800 (8/1)
  • NXT Women’s Championship: Giulia -500 (1/5) vs. Roxanne Perez (C) +300 (3/1)
  • Fatal 4-Way to crown a new number one contender to the NXT Women’s Championship: Cora Jade +110 (11/10) vs. Stephanie Vaquer +110 (11/10) vs. Lola Vice +260 (13/5)vs. Kelani Jordan +1200 (12/1)
  • Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx -120 (5/6) vs. Shotzi, Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley -120 (5/6)
