Huge John Cena Match Being

John Cena could be in line for a massive match at WrestleMania 41, which will be his final time competing on The Grandest Stage.

Back in July at Money in the Bank, Cena appeared live and made the announcement that fans have been expecting for a number of months, the date of his in-ring retirement. After announcing that the 2025 Rumble and Mania 41 would be his final matches at each of the respective events, the Hollywood star later clarified that December 2025 would be the date of his final match.

Although it is unknown at this time who Cena will be facing in Las Vegas, many are expecting something big given the career he has had. As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are heavy discussions for the 16-time World Champion to attempt to become a 17-time champ and break the Ric Flair record:

They also could do Rhodes vs. Cena with the idea of Cena in his last attempt at winning the title can break Flair’s fictitious 16 number that in WWE history he and Cena are tied at. We do know that the idea of Cena challenging one of the two champions, in an effort to have him break Flair’s record is something strongly talked about, including for Mania.
