Huge Debut Match Set For WWE SmackDown Before SummerSlam

New WWE SmackDown Tag Team official

A major debut match is planned for WWE SmackDown.

With only a few hours left for SummerSlam, the Stamford-based promotion has now officially announced a huge debut bout for the go-home episode of SmackDown. Representing Sikoa’s MFT, Talla Tonga, the real-life brother of Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, is now set to make his in-ring debut in the company.

An NJPW veteran, Tonga is set to compete against Jimmy Uso on the upcoming August 1 episode of SmackDown. He made his first appearance at Night of Champions when he helped Sikoa defeat Jacob Fatu for the United States Championship, and allied himself with Tanga Loa, JC Mateo, and Sikoa in the process.

Now, Sikoa is set to defend his US Title against Jacob Fatu inside a steel cage at SummerSlam 2025 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Solo Sikoa Recently Turned Bodyguard For This WWE Champion

Last week, on July 27, a video started going viral on social media, featuring Solo Sikoa, his MFTs, and Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.

Solo Sikoa, the Tongans and JC Mateo were seen surrounding Stratton and walking, helping her navigate through a busy airport.

In other news: Aleister Black has dismissed this ongoing AEW narrative about him.
