WWE have confirmed that the WWE Champion Big E and the Universal Champion Roman Reigns will meet in a huge clash at Survivor Series.
The match had been rumoured for a number of weeks but we now have official confirmation. Big E will take on Roman Reigns at Survivor Series on November 21st.
The tension between Big E and Roman Reigns goes back a number of years to the memorable clashes between The New Day and The Shield. However, things went to a whole new level as Big E was crowned Mr Money In The Bank in July. The New Day star repeatedly teased a cash-in on Reigns before eventually hopping over to Raw and winning the WWE Title from Bobby Lashley.
After his success, Big E returned to SmackDown to get in the face of the Head of the Table. This led to a match between The New Day and The Bloodline on Raw. Reigns and Big E also met in Triple Threat action the same night.
Big E also openly questioned who Reigns’ Special Counsel Paul Heyman would be backing at Crown Jewel as he defended his title against Brock Lesnar. The former tag team star said that he would be waiting for whoever won at Survivor Series.
Despite Big E being on Raw, Roman Reigns still finds himself locked in a battle with The New Day on SmackDown. After King Woods and Kofi Kingston defeated The Usos on October 29th, Reigns made sure The Bloodline was aware of his disappointment. The following week, Woods defeated Jimmy Uso in singles action but after the bell, Reigns appeared to lay waste to the new King of the Ring.
It has also been confirmed that Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will meet at Survivor Series in another highly anticipated clash.
