The recent episode of AEW Collision possibly pulled off a dramatic double turn.
This week’s edition of AEW Collision featured an assortment of exciting events and matches like Dustin Rhodes defending the TNT Championship against Lee Moriarty, Bang Bang Gang vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith, the debut of The Triangle of Madness consisting of Thekla, Skye Blue, and Julia Hart, newcomer Alex Windsor taking on Athena, and more.
Interestingly, one of the segments featured Max Caster issuing another open challenge, which was eventually answered by his former tag team partner, Anthony Bowens, from The Acclaimed. Bowens was accompanied by the erstwhile group’s manager, Billy Gunn.
The match ended with Bowens defeating Caster, but even after the bell had rung, Anthony Bowens kept attacking his former partner. This forced Gunn to step in and toss aside The Five-Tool Player, who glared at his manager for a while and seemed like he was about to attack him as well. However, he walked away instead, saying he was the pride of professional wrestling, not Max Caster.
What is going with @Bowens_Official and @RealBillyGunn!?

Anthony Bowens Speaks About His Actions During AEW Collision
After the former AEW World Tag Team Champion teased a heel turn at AEW Collision, he was seen sitting alone backstage, where he was asked to explain his actions.
Bowens stated that he lost his composure during the show and felt confused:
I don’t want to, but I suppose I have to. Or I suppose I should. I really don’t know what happened out there, but I lost it. I just completely lost it. I’m just so confused. So confused.”
Anthony Bowens got mad about the fact that, although he was representing and sacrificing time for fans, they would cheer his former tag team partner instead. He also felt conflicted about Billy Gunn expressing concern about Max Caster:
I’m the pride of professional wrestling. I give up my free time, I give up my life to represent you. All of you. And you cheered Max. You cheered Max, and you booed me. And Billy… Starting to get some flashbacks. I don’t know how to feel. I need some time to think, so I would really, really appreciate it if you left me alone. Just, please just give me some space.”
