How WWE Hall Of Famer Rey Mysterio Is “Aging Slower” At This Stage Of His Career

How WWE Hall Of Famer Rey Mysterio Is

Rey Mysterio has spoken out about the longevity of his in-ring career and how he owes a lot of being able to perform in 2024 to stem cells.

With more than 32 years of in-ring experience and closing in on 2,500 matches, Mysterio is one of the most tenured athletes in the current era. However, due to the decades of bumping and general wear and tear, the Hall of Famer has also dealt with his fair share of injuries over the course of his career.

With nothing left to prove in the industry, few would blame Mysterio for calling time on his career or perhaps taking it easier. However, as has been seen in the past few years, the former WWE Champion is moving better than he has for years. Showing no signs of slowing down as he edges closer to his 50th birthday, Mysterio is a huge advocate for modern medicine.

Appearing on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Mysterio credited stem cells as the main factor in his longevity and how he feels that he managed to slow down the ageing process as a result:

“Incredible. Thanks to stem cells and modern medicine, all the little gadgets that are out there, like cold plunge, infrared sauna, all those things have played a big factor in me being able to continue still. Obviously, stem cells is the majority factor, and that has kind of slowed down the time for me. So I’m aging a little bit slower than normal.”

Rey Mysterio Pushing For Historic WWE Show

Throughout his professional wrestling career, Mysterio has competed all over the world in some of the most famous arenas and stadiums. Aware that there are still some notable venues to check off the list, Rey Mysterio also called for a first-time-ever WWE show to take place.

In other WWE news, a notable name from the world of boxing could be considering the jump to pro wrestling.

In another interview, Rey Mysterio elaborated on why the fans really hate Dominik Mysterio.
