Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon’s honest thoughts about Batista revealed.
A part of WWE from 2000 to 2010, and then later returning for a brief run in 2014, current Hollywood actor Dave Bautista, aka Batista, is vividly remembered by pro-wrestling fans for his illustrious career at the Stamford-based promotion.
While a 10-time champion in the promotion, the 56-year-old star is also remembered for his unselfish nature and ability to put other stars over. Recently, while speaking on The Marking Out Show, AEW star MVP recalled a past situation when the promotion’s ex-chairman, McMahon, had expressed his honest thoughts about Batista’s unselfish act.
Dave (Bautista) being the guy that he is, he didn’t just sell the boot in the corner. Dave took the boot and went a** over tea kettle up over the top turnbuckle to the apron, to the floor. So, he took that high boot and took that bump over the rope, out of the ring.
And I think it went over so well, I remember when we came back through the curtain, like Vince (McMahon) hugged him and said, ‘goddamn it, you made that kid. tonight’ God damn it, you made that kid. And I was super grateful because like, ‘damn! He didn’t have to do that for me.’
