A matter of discussion for the past few months, fans have been left frustrated with how the female talents are booked on the roster. Recently, reports also emerged about a rising frustration in the locker room amongst the women about a lack of booking direction.

Recently, Triple H had opened up about women main-eventing the upcoming WrestleMania, he has now shared his insights on how it could happen. Recently speaking at the Sloan Analytics Conference alongside Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bejaria, The Game discussed the context behind booking women in the main event slot.

“I don’t give women the main event because they’re women and it would look good. If they’re in the main event it’s because they earned it. If they’re not it’s because something else is resonating more.”

Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair were the first women to main event WrestleMania in 2019. The latest Mania headlined by two women, was back in 2021, when Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks aka Mercedes Mone.

This year, Belair and Iyo Sky are scheduled for a title fight alongside Tiffany Stratton versus Charlotte Flair, out of which wrestling fans expect either of them to main event the night 1 of the show. Also, fans want John Cena and Cody Rhodes to main event Night 2 of WrestleMania 41.

Triple H Hints About An International WrestleMania

During the post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H teased fans about an International WrestleMania in the future.

“All markets are. That is a different animal now that includes a bidding process and everything that goes into it because it is such a massive business. Hundreds of millions of dollars get poured into the city that brings WrestleMania. The economic impact that we have going into a city with something the scale of WrestleMania is incredible.”
