How Paul Wight Received “A Big Chunk Of Cash” For Doing Minimal Work

How Paul Wight Received

Paul Wight, formerly known as The Big Show in WWE, recalled how he got paid a handsome sum for minimal effort for his role in a music video.

In the year 2000, Sisqo’s “Thong Song” took the music world by storm, becoming an inescapable hit. Capitalising on its success, Sisqo released a remix featuring Foxy Brown and shot a music video that included a surprising cameo by WWE’s The Big Show. Reflecting on his unexpected appearance in the video, Wight shared the story during an interview on “The Run Home with Joel & Fletch“.

That was an interesting afternoon in Baltimore. I was at the building early because I was too cheap to get a day hotel room since we were driving home that night.

Wight explained how the opportunity arose, thanks to WWE agent Tony Garea.

Tony Garea comes in and goes, ‘There is a group that is doing a video and they’re offering pretty good cash. It’s over at the park. Are you interested in doing it?’ ‘Yeah, why not.’

Upon arriving at the shoot, Wight was introduced to Sisqo.

I’m Big Show, Paul Wight from WWE. They sent me over and said you guys want to use a wrestler,

he recounted. The simplicity of the role surprised him.

All you have to do is nod at him. That’s it? I don’t have to pick anybody up or wrestle anybody? I don’t have to fight a bear?

The shoot was quick, requiring just one or two takes. Wight was pleasantly surprised by the generous payment.

It was a good chunk of change, I’m not going to lie to you. It surprised me a little bit. I did a lot worse for a lot less.

After the shoot, Wight returned to the building, where his fellow wrestlers expressed envy over the lucrative gig.

A lot of them didn’t want to get off their a** and move.

In recent news, Paul Wight had high praise for a certain AEW star.
