New information has come to light regarding the excellent interaction between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre on a recent episode of Raw.
During the March 25th broadcast that aired live from Chicago, CM Punk made his return and announced what he would be doing at WrestleMania. Although the Chicago crowd were delighted to see Punk make an appearance despite being injured, the celebrations were short-lived as McIntyre interrupted the promo. With The Scottish Warrior trolling Punk for multiple weeks both on TV and on social media, a memorable exchange was expected.
Punk and McIntyre did not disappoint with McIntyre mocking Punk for always being in rehab due to his injuries and Punk asking McIntyre who hailed him as The Chosen One, knowing that McIntyre could not say Vince McMahon’s name on Raw. Seth Rollins would later interrupt the exchange and let his feelings be known about both men before ultimately standing tall as the segment came to a close. According to a new report, the segment was a lot more structured than some may have anticipated.
As reported by Fightful Select, sources within WWE claim that there was “a general outline” and that talent was going to go all out and “see what happens.” In regards to Punk’s use of the word dipsh*ts, which McIntyre quickly reminded Punk that he should keep it PG, Fightful notes that production was not anticipating this and that there was a memo sent out to talent to discourage the use of foul language. There were also no issues backstage after the segment came to a close.
CM Punk Victim Of Drew McIntyre Troll Once Again
Although Punk has been off TV for a number of weeks to recover from his torn triceps, McIntyre has continued to let his feelings be known about the World Champion for his own amusement. Prior to the Raw taping in Chicago, Drew McIntyre once again found a way to stick it to CM Punk.
