How Much Dominik Mysterio Was Paid For Early WWE Appearance

Dominik Mysterio has detailed how much he was paid by WWE to appear on TV at a much younger age.

Although the Intercontinental Champion made his official in-ring debut at SummerSlam 2020 and made a few appearances before his first match, long-time fans remember Mysterio regularly appearing in 2005 as part of the feud between his father Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero, which culminated in the Custody of Dominik match at SummerSlam that year.

As Mysterio was an onscreen performer at 8 years old, he was paid for his appearances. While appearing on the Intoxicados Podcast, Mysterio revealed how much he was paid for one show, but added that he did not see all the money:

“I got paid, I’ll tell you exactly how much I got paid. I got paid five grand. Five grand. That was just for one of the events. My parents told me, normally they wouldn’t tell me, they would just tell me they put it to the side. They told me about this because I was asking, ‘How much did I get paid for this?’ I knew something was coming. They said, ‘You got paid five grand.’ ‘Cool, let’s go to Toys R Us.’

I go to Toys R Us. I get myself a bike and, I’ve always been into universal monsters, so they had these Frankenstein heads. ‘Let me get a couple of those.’ It totaled out to maybe $400, maybe $300, if that. As soon as we got home, I’m like, ‘Can we go to Target?’ My mom goes, ‘That’s it. That’s all your money.’ It probably all went to my sister’s college fund.”

Mysterio won the IC Title back at WrestleMania in a 4-way match that also featured former champion Bron Breakker, Finn Balor and Penta.

In another interview, Dominik Mysterio detailed how much the stars of the main roster are paid.

Dominik Mysterio Continues To Brag About Accolade

Following his victory at WrestleMania 41, Mysterio has claimed that he is the greatest Intercontinental Champion in company history despite only holding the title for a few weeks. In a previous interview, Dominik Mysterio listed off all the WWE stars he claims to be better than.

In other WWE news, 2 stars admitted that a dream match nearly happened 14 years ago.
