The Rock is making some serious money from his WWE royalties.
While The Great One’s popularity may have taken a severe blow after his WrestleMania 41 no show and subsequent confusing comments to explain why, his merch sales don’t seem to have suffered.
TKO have released a statement and revealed the staggering amount the Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has made in royalties and travel reimbursement. The filing states:
For the year ended December 31, 2024, the Company paid $0.9 million of royalties that were earned by Mr. Johnson. In addition, Mr. Johnson is entitled to reimbursement for certain travel expenses associated with delivering services under the Johnson Services Agreement, of which $2.6 million was incurred by the Company during the year ended December 31, 2024.
These whopping figures are all part of the mega money deal, Johnson entered with TKO Group Holdings, in January 2024.As part of this deal, he received $30 million in TKO equity, which is scheduled to vest over a period extending through the end of 2025. This agreement also granted him full ownership of the “The Rock” trademark and associated intellectual property, including his catchphrases and likeness.WWE retains a license to utilise this IP for up to 10 years, during which Johnson will continue to receive royalties from related merchandise and promotional activities.
