The House of Black have now won more trios matches than any other team in AEW.
“The House Always Wins” is their motto, and for a good reason. On the October 19 episode of Collision, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, & Malakai Black faced off against Alpha Zo, Chris Nastyy, & Olumide. The trio emerged victorious, meaning they have now won the most trios matches in AEW history, with 25 wins.
The former champions secured the pinfall via a cannonball crush.

The group originated from PWG in 2021, where Black and King formed the Kings of the Black Throne as a tag team. They would win the promotion’s World Tag Team Championship later that year. Black went on to join AEW, and when King also signed, they teamed up again as the House of Black. Just a month later, in February 2022, Matthews also debuted and immediately sided with them to form the trio.
While the trio may have picked up the most victories, they have been unsuccessful in recapturing the Trios Championships since their reign ended in August 2023. The current champions are the Blackpool Combat Club, who defeated HOB along with the Bang Bang Gang and The Patriarchy in the AEW All Out London Ladder. The Elite are also currently the only team to have held the belts twice.
Julia Hart Expected To Be Back “Very Soon”, According To House of Black Teammate
The House of Black’s Julia Hart has been out of action since April due to a shoulder injury. However, according to one of her House of Black stablemates, Hart has been “dropping hints” that her return is coming.
Recently Julia Hart has hinted that she could be returning to AEW very soon.
