A new champion has been crowned at AEW All In 2025.
During the second match of AEW All In’s triple main-event, fans witnessed International Champion Kenny Omega face off against the Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada in a ‘Winner Takes All’ match. The bout also had the stipulation of a title unification, with the winner receiving the brand-new AEW Unified Championship.
In an extremely closely fought battle with multiple interferences and referee changes, fans finally saw only one man standing tall after the bout. After several failed Rainmakers, Okada was finally able to hit a perfectly executed one to keep The Cleaner down for the three count.
After some help from Don Callis, Kazuchika Okada defeated Kenny Omega to crown himself the first-ever Unified AEW Champion to create history at the Globe Field Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Currently, there are no confirmed updates on Okada’s future as the new champion.
We at ITR Wrestling would like to wish Kazuchika Okada our heartiest congratulations on his new title win.
Is AEW EVP Kenny Omega Going To Retire Soon?
Earlier tonight, The Young Bucks lost their EVP status. That begs the question, whether a similar fate awaits the other EVP, Kenny Omega? After his title loss tonight, doubts rose amongst fans regarding The Best Bout Machine’s in-ring future.
A few days ago, during an appearance on Wrestling Observer Radio, Kenny Omega opened up about his recent struggles with diverticulitis and future status:
I might be in bed until 5 or 6 [PM] for about five or six, seven days after that. I just can’t, I just don’t have the energy. I can’t move. And, um, that was the most scary part for me is again, you know, I, I want to be reliable. I want to be someone that you can count on, but at the same time, I don’t want to push myself beyond the breaking point because that’s how I got to the level of needing the emergency surgery to begin with. And I don’t want to do it again.
Now that I’m getting up there and my performances will be a little more limited in amount, I really do value each and every singular performance. I really hope that every single one of them means something, because the ones that don’t mean anything, it’s like chipping away at what’s left, and there isn’t much left. So I want to make sure that what is left, the meat that’s still on the bone, that it’s good tasting meat, you know? Hopefully.”
