Hiromu Takahashi’s trip to Nashville for the Starrcast festivities ended on a sour note
On July 30th, former IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion Hiromu Takahashi faced Blake Christian at NJPW Music City Mayhem where he picked up the victory. However, after returning to his hotel from the event, Hiromu found out all his belongings had been stolen.
Takahashi explained the situation speaking with Yahoo Japan.
“I generally keep valuables with me when I am abroad, but two T-shirts, a tank top, two pairs of shorts, and a neck pillow that I had washed and hung in my room were missing. The amount of money may not be that big, but I was so pissed off that I told the front desk clerk, ‘Hey! I just got back from the show and everything is gone!'”
Despite the incident, Takahashi still had a positive experience in America and expressed a desire to come back.
“I felt good. I thought the U.S. was great, and I wanted to make STRONG a part of it. I want to go to the U.S. as many times as I can.” (h/t Fightful)
This was Takahashi’s first trip to the United States since July 2018, which ended in tragedy after Takahashi suffered a severe neck injury during a match against Dragon Lee at G1 Special in San Francisco.
Takahashi was scheduled to travel to the US earlier this year to team up with Shingo Takagi, Darby Allin & Sting at Forbidden Door, but missed the show due to illness.
