Hikaru Shida will take on the woman she defeated for the AEW Women’s Championship, Nyla Rose at Full Gear, AEW has announced. Taking place on November 7, it will be a tough challenge to defend the gold. The Japanese wrestler is the longest-reigning Women’s Champion in AEW and will be hoping she can extend it past the upcoming Pay-Per-View.

Shida was triumphant in their only previous singles match, so she has the mental advantage. Will the added services of Vickie Guerrero embolden Rose’s ambitions? Or will the title stay on the waist of Shida? As both have been champion before, it is sure to be a titanic tussle.
Last time they faced off, it was at Double or Nothing in a No Disqualification match. Both wrestlers punished each other with a various array of weapons and furniture, which took a toll on both sides. Shida made full benefit of the relaxed rules and used her chosen weapon, the Kendo Stick, with aplomb. The Kendo was the decisive factor in the closing stretch, as Rose was struck by it in the head by the challenger. This plus a running knee finished Nyla off to divest her of the championship. This time with more stringent rules, will the end result still be the same?
Also set to feature are The Young Bucks vs FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship, with an added stipulation. If Matt and Nick Jackson lose, they will never challenge for the titles again.
Other championship matches set for Full Gear are Jon Moxley vs Eddie Kingston in what will be a brutal “I Quit” match for the AEW Championship, and Cody vs Darby Allin clashing over the TNT Championship. All champions will want to retain but we will see how many achieve that feat very soon.
