Hikaru Shida Shares Cat’s Hilarious Reaction To Her Action Figure

Hikaru Shida

Former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida may have topped the charts in terms of bestselling action figures recently but she has let the world see just how unimpressed her cat is by her feats.

Shida recently lost the AEW Women’s World Championship that she had held for an astonishing 372 days to Dr. Britt Baker at Double Or Nothing. Leading the women’s division for most of the pandemic, the Japanese star rarely got the opportunity to defend her hard-fought title in front of live fans. To celebrate her holding the championship for over one calendar year, All Elite Wrestling presented Shida with a new gold and jewel-encrusted belt that is now held by wrestling’s resident ‘role model.’

Despite the loss, Hikaru Shida can be buoyed by the fan’s reaction to her new action figure released by Ringside Collectibles. The company posted their bestseller list for the week and Shida topped it with her action figure that is part of Series 6 of the AEW Unrivaled collection.

Taking to social media to respond to the fantastic news, Shida shared a video of her cat enjoying her action figure. In typical cat style, Shida’s feline friend called Ruta was completely nonplussed.

Shida accompanied the video with the caption:

“I highly recommend to get this and take photos with your pets. Then… It happens….

Hikaru Shida competed on AEW Dark: Elevation where she defeated AEW Deadly Draw Tournament winner Diamante in singles action. The appearance was notable for the 32-year-old showing off a new style. Shida has adopted a shorter haircut shorn of the red locks that were instantly recognisable.

Shida was recently the part of some unfortunate headlines after an AEW commentator was fired after mocking her accent during a broadcast.

Shida’s action figure along with the rest of AEW Unrivaled Series 6 can be pre-ordered from Ringside Collectibles
