On the March 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega will take on El Hijo Del Vikingo for the very first time.
The 25-year-old Vikingo is one of the most highly-rated wrestlers on the planet and the current AAA Mega Champion.
The match had been due to take place back in 2021, but plans were scrapped due to Omega needing time off to recover from a number of nagging injuries. However, the highly-anticipated match-up is now back on.
Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Vikingo said that he was excited to finally wrestle the former AEW World Champion.
“I’m excited to be on television on Dynamite and show my skills to the world. I’ve wanted this fight for so long. It is an honor to come to AEW and wrestle Kenny.”
The star is known for his innovative offence, and high-octane in-ring style, something he can’t wait to showcase on Dynamite.
“I have a lot of special moves that I want the world to see. Some I’ve already mastered, and I want to show those off, and I want to show off some moves that people have never seen before.”
Tony Khan originally tried to bring Vikingo in for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match but instead ended up striking a deal with Komander.
