“He’s Going Under”: Controversial Ex-WWE Referee Blasts Vince McMahon Over Allegations

Former WWE referee Earl Hebner has given his thoughts on the Vince McMahon lawsuit.

Back in January 2024, Vince McMahon was accused of sex trafficking and multiple counts of sexual assault by former WWE employee Janel Grant. The allegations would ultimately lead to the disgraced former Chairman to resign from his position, still denying the contents of the horrifying 67-page lawsuit.

The lawsuit highlighted a toxic culture across the entire company, with former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis and numerous unnamed executives also implicated within the lawsuit.

With the world still stunned by the contents of the document, many from the wrestling industry have given their thoughts on the abhorrent story. Hebner, who worked with the company for the best part of 20 years, wants to see justice.

Speaking at a signing for K&S WrestleFest, Hebner stated that McMahon and Laurinaitis are both in this together and allegations have been there as far back as when he first started:

The only thing I can say is, I hope justice is served. Between Vince and John, they are in a heap of trouble. I think Johnny is trying to jump ship on Vince now. They’re both in this thing together. Vince knows what he was doing, Johnny knew about what he was doing, or Johnny knew what he was doing. That’s all I can say.

I can say more and really bury them, but I’m just going to wait and let justice be served. My next book, I’m going to bring everything to that. You’re thinking the next book is going to be a jury book. I’m going to let it all out,” he said. “[Allegations] go back as far as 88 (1988) because that’s when I worked there. The BS was going on then, and it’s still going on now, probably.”

In a statement by John Laurinaitis’ attorney, Laurinaitis claimed to be a victim of Vince McMahon.

When asked if there was any way that McMahon could get away with this, Hebner responded as follows:

“He thought he was getting over, but he’s not getting over. No matter how much money he’s got. He’s been getting over, but now, he’s going over this time, but it ain’t what he’s been going over with. He’s going under”

More Information About Vince McMahon Made Public

With the allegations from Grant being at the forefront of people’s minds, McMahon’s past has been heavily scrutinised and has seen more information about the disgraced Chairman released. In light of the news surrounding McMahon, a previously unreleased statement from the late Ashley Massaro was made public, which accused Vince McMahon of preying on WWE female talent.
