The blood-soaked main event of AEW Dynamite between Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho was thrown into chaos by a shock heel turn.
Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston have been at war for months, and the violence between the pair and their respective crews has only increased as time has gone on.
There have been wrestling matches, brawls, fights and everything in between, but was all set to come to a head on night three of Fyter Fest in a ‘Barbed Wire Everywhere’ Match where the Jericho Appreciation Society would be suspended in a shark cage above the ring.
Kingston came to the ring with a sadistic smile and fans didn’t have to wait long to find out why. The star jumped Jericho before the ring introductions were over, making him bleed within seconds thanks to a microphone covered in barbed wire.

As predicted the action wasn’t pretty and often difficult to watch, as both men put their bodies on line in search of victory. After Kingston had suplexed Jericho through a barbed wire covered table and looked to be heading for the win, Tay Conti ran to ringside and attacked Ruby Soho who had been given control of the shark cage.
However, the brawl was interrupted by Anna Jay. While it initially looked like Jay would help Soho, she quickly laid her out aligning with Coni once more after their interaction the previous week.
This left Anna Jay to lower the cage, while Conti released the Jericho Appreciation Society who jumped on Kingston. But the Blackpool Combat Club ran in to even the score, leaving Jericho and Kingston alone once more.
The end of the match finally came when Sammy Guevara, who hadn’t been in the shark cage earlier, ran in and came to the aid of Jericho who flattened his rival with the Judas Effect via some barbed wire.
After the match, Kingston got his revenge, throwing Jericho from the ring onto a barbed wire spider web below as the show went off the air.
