Heath has given IMPACT fans a solemn update on the status of long time tag partner and friend, Rhino, after the vicious attack by Honor No More.
On the June 2nd episode of IMPACT, Rhino and Heath were defeated, and then brutally attacked by Honor No More. Following the vicious assault, Rhino was taken to hospital.
Speaking to Gia Miller, a visibly upset Heath revealed that Rhino could be out for months or, more alarmingly, potentially forever, according to his doctors.
The damage caused by Honor No More’s attack, focusing on Rhino’s unpadded knee, was not revealed but Heath did confirm his partner would undergo surgery.
Heath and Rhino have been tag partners in both IMPACT and WWE, where they were the first Smackdown Tag Team Champions.
Following the attack, AEW’s Frankie Kazarian, appearing as part of Slammiversary’s 20th year celebrations, and fellow IMPACT/TNA original Chris Sabin, challenged Scott D’Amore to do something about Honor No More.
D’Amore announced a special 5-man tag match at the upcoming Slammiversary PPV on June 19th, featuring the group versus IMPACT originals Kazarian, Sabin, his Motor City Machine Gun partner, Alex Shelly, plus two as-yet-unnamed participants.
