When it comes to Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns being on the same level, Rollins has a long way to go. That’s at least according to two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
Back in 2012, Rollins’ road to stardom began when he was in The Shield faction alongside Roman Reigns and Jon Moxley, who was known as Dean Ambrose at the time. Following the end of the stable in 2014, all three wrestlers would go on to become world champions.
Ric Flair Has Acknowledged The “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns
Recently on his “To Be The Man” podcast, Ric Flair would have a discussion about talents who go through too many gimmick changes, and in the process of doing so, “The Nature Boy” brought up Seth Rollins.
“Look at Seth Rollins. He’s been 10 different things. You know what he was the best at? Being The Architect. Because he’s really strong and technical in the ring. But since then I can’t even keep track of all of it. I know why it is, it’s all to sell merchandise. I saw where he compared himself to Roman Reigns. I don’t think that’s even close.”
Recently, Rollins made an appearance on BT Sport for an interview with Ariel Helwani where he would make the declaration that he is better than the “Tribal Chief.” However, “The Visionary” would also go on to say that he feels like he’s always “second fiddle” to Reigns, also bringing up Bray Wyatt.
In the last 10 years, Rollins’ on-screen character has gone through several changes. When his career launched in 2012, he was known as “The Architect” because of his master strategy with The Shield. Now, the 36-year-old is a “Visionary” who can see into the future.
Seth Rollins is currently the WWE United States Champion, winning the title on Monday Night Raw earlier this month after Brock Lesnar launched an attack on Bobby Lashley.
