During his time in WWE as The Rock, Dwyane Johnson proudly called himself the ‘People’s Champion’.
Now, someone else has taken that mantle, while sending a warning to the Black Adam star. Russian internet sensation Hasbulla declared himself the “People’s Champion” leading to a social media exchange with Johnson.
The social media star posted an image on Twitter of himself holding Snoop Dog’s “missing” Big Gold version of the WWE Championship alongside the caption:
gm☕️☕️
Sorry @TheRock but I’m the people’s champ now💪🏽👊🏽
Johnson saw the post on his timeline before replying:
You always have been and always will be the People’s Champ 💪🏾
Let me see drop People’s Elbows on some fools! 😉👊🏾
The 3-foot Tik Tok sensation then responded in a seemingly threatening manner, possibly setting up a confrontation between the two in Los Angles:
Come through LA and show me💪🏽👊🏽
Both stars are affiliated with UFC. In 2022, Hasbulla signed with the company while that same year Johnson announced a lucrative shoe deal with UFC.
Will Dwayne Johnson Be At WrestleMania 39?
As WWE heads to Hollywood for WrestleMania 39 speculation surrounding Johnson’s involvement has been rife. He was long rumoured to face off against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The Rock’s presence didn’t materialise in the lead-up to the supershow and doesn’t look to returning to the ring anytime soon.
However, there is at least one movie star laying the smackdown at the Showcase of the Immortals. The Fast and the Furious star John Cena will take on Austin Theory for the United States Championship.
Theory goaded the returning Cena into a match at the Show of Shows when the two came face-to-face on the March 6th Monday Night Raw. Yet, despite getting the big-time match he was after, the Doctor of Thuganomics tore him to shreds on the microphone giving the champion a lot to prove in Hollywood.
