Hangman Adam Page is set to miss All Out entirely according to a new report, following the news that he will not be challenging Kenny Omega at the event.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the current plan for All Out will not see Hangman Page appear in any capacity despite previous plans to have him headline the show.
No explanation was given for Hangman’s absence though Meltzer speculated that Christian, who is currently third in the men’s rankings behind Page and Jungle Boy, could be challenging for the AEW World Championship in Page’s stead.
Alvarez: “Hangman Page not only out of the main event of All Out but apparently he’s not on the show?
Meltzer: “No, [he is] not on the show. I don’t know who Omega is wrestling [at All Out]. Obviously from the TV, It looks like Christian. That’s the situation.”
The move follows reports earlier this week that Page will not be challenging Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship in the show’s main event as had been the plan for some time. Hangman lost his opportunity at the title when he and the Dark Order failed to defeat The Elite at Fight For The Fallen though many expected the 30-year-old to get around the stipulation somehow.
With rumours abound of CM Punk’s impending debut on the August 20th edition of Rampage as well as Daniel Bryan’s reported signing with the company, AEW’s plans have reportedly been forced to undergo major changes as of late which could explain Hangman Page’s All Out disappearance.
