Former AEW World Tag Team Champion, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, has spoken out about the recent riots on the U.S Capitol building.

On Wednesday, January 6, prior to the airing of both AEW Dynamite and NXT New Year’s Evil, anarchy broke out in Washington D.C when outgoing President Donald Trump was blamed for inciting an invasion of the historic site in order to halt the certification of incoming President, Joe Biden.

Making worldwide news, Trump supporters and voters violently rampaged through the grounds and halls, hanging banners backing the current head, smashing windows, erecting a gallows and doing damage to the heart of the US government.

Sadly, one death was reported as was the hospitaisation of several police officers who attempted to halt the riots which will be the lasting picture of Donald Trump’s reign.

Now, AEW Superstar ‘Hangman’ Adam Page has taken to Twitter to speak out about the actions of those responsible. On his social media page, the star condemned those involved by stating:

“I can’t believe I lived through a stupid coup attempt.”

Recent events have caused WWE legend Mick Foley to call for Donald Trump to be removed from the WWE Hall of Fame. The tycoon was inducted in 2013 after taking part in the Battle of the Billionaires and a storyline in which he purchased Monday Night Raw.

Since losing to Kenny Omega at AEW Full Gear, Adam Page has teamed with The Dark Order to honour the life of the late Jon Huber, leading to the faction attempting to secure his services.
