A WWE Hall of Famer has been left impressed by this announcer’s recent progress.
Earlier this year, WWE announced the huge acquisition of famed ESPN broadcaster Joe Tessitore. Known for his work in football, college football, and now WWE, Tessitore has quickly fixated on his spot as a loved wrestling announcer.
Working alongside Wade Barrett on Raw, he has also worked with the veteran announcer Michael Cole. Recently, AEW announcer and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross heaped praises on Tessitore’s recent wrestling work and expressed his pride for him. Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross opened up on Tessitore while discussing the recent Saturday Night’s Main Event.
I got questions about Joe Tessitore, who does a lot of football for ESPN. He’s built himself a nice business, hasn’t he? He’s making some serious money. Gotta be making some big money with ESPN and WWE, two great clients to have if you’re an announcer. He does a nice job. He does a better job than I thought he ever would this early, to be honest with you. So they made a good hire there. I didn’t know he was a wrestling fan.
You can’t be as successful as he’s been and as informative, timely, etc., without being a fan. He has some product knowledge, and I have great respect for that. So looks like they’re building their announcer base. It’s a good fit for them. Joe does a nice job, and I’m proud that he’s representing our trade as well as he is.”

Pat McAfee is set to return on January 6th during the promotion’s Netflix premiere. He is rumored to work alongside Michael Cole on Raw, but what does it mean for Tessitore and Barrett? Will the duo be heading to the Friday night show?
Jim Ross Believes This WWE Veteran Is A Future Destined Hall Of Famer
Speaking on an episode of his ‘Grilling JR‘ podcast, Jim Ross opened up on veteran Jim Johnston receiving a future Hall of Fame induction.
I think he’ll be in the WWE Hall of Fame at some point in time. Triple H is too aware of his surroundings, he understands who’s contributed what. So I’d be shocked that in my lifetime that Jim Johnston’s not in the WWE Hall of Fame. I believe that’s gonna happen.
