Hall Of Famer Clears The Air On WWE Relationship After 2K25 Roster Announcement

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has addressed his relationship with the company after being announced as one of many members of the 2K25 roster.

On February 17th, the full roster for WWE 2K25 was revealed, featuring legends from the past along with members of the Raw, SmackDown and NXT rosters as part of the largest roster in the history of the franchise.

Although many Hall of Famers included in the game are currently signed to legends deals with the company, such as Diamond Dallas Page, Mick Foley and Rob Van Dam, not every veteran listed is under a nostalgia contract, such as the former Raw General Manager.

Following an appearance on NXT in late 2024, Bischoff stated on his podcast that he did not have a written agreement with any promotion. With the Hall of Famer confirmed to be a part of the upcoming game, one fan asked Bischoff if anything had changed, prompting a response from the former Senior Vice President of WCW on social media:

“I receive royalties whenever WWE uses my likeness. It was a part of my original talent agreement and is/was standard language for talent agreements. I have no contract w WWE. Legends or otherwise.”

Hall Of Famer Comments On Shock WWE Debut

On February 10th news broke that Ricky Starks had finally been released from his AEW contract after being off TV for the best part of a year. Wasting little time in making his intentions known, Starks made a shock appearance on NXT the next night to the delight of the fans. No stranger to generating shocking moments in the wrestling world, Eric Bischoff gave his thoughts on Ricky Starks arriving in NXT, comparing it to one of the most famous debuts in WCW history.
