Gunther’s First WWE World Championship Match Announced for Bash In Berlin

Just hours after winning the World Championship, Gunther is set to face his next challenge.

On the immediate RAW episode after SummerSlam, fans saw a surprising visit from a certain SmackDown superstar. Presumably done with The Bloodline business, former WWE Champion Randy Orton returned on the Monday-night episode.

Interrupting The Ring General, Randy Orton issued a World Title match against Gunther at Bash in Berlin. Both the stalwarts have met in the past at King of the Ring, where The Imperium leader took home the victory.

The newly crowned Champion accepted The Legend Killer’s challenge and confirmed the PLE’s first official match. Two of the best technicians in the business currently, Orton compared their upcoming bout with ‘Ricky Steamboat vs Ric Flair’.

Fans now hope to relieve the amazing display of technical wrestling again after their previous bout at King of the Ring earlier this year.

Recently, Gunther shared which match he “needed to have.”

Gunther Addresses World Title Victory Controversy

At the SummerSlam post-show, fans witnessed Gunther address his controversial World Championship victory. The former Intercontinental Champion shared:

Nothing’s tainted, no reservations. Nothing to be ashamed of. From this day forth, Monday Night Raw and the legacy of the World Heavyweight Championship belong to me. If anybody out there thinks I don’t deserve this, they know where to find me.”

In other news: LA Knight has received a legal notice from a former United States Champion.
