SmackDown Superstar Gunther shared his thoughts on whether or not Vince McMahon could take one of his legendary chops.
Gunther made his way from NXT 2.0 to SmackDown on the April 8th episode alongside his Imperium stablemate Ludwig Kaiser, formerly known as Marcel Barthel. It is currently unclear what the future holds for Fabian Aichner, who was the third member of Imperium and was last seen walking out during a tag team match on NXT 2.0 leaving his partner to be demolished by The Creed Brothers.
The star formerly known as WALTER is known for delivering devastating chops to his opponents, and in a recent interview with Cultaholic, revealed whether or not Vince McMahon has ever asked to take one of these chops.
“He hasn’t. Nobody ever asked me for one, to be honest [laughs]. It hasn’t happened. No.”
Gunther was then asked if he believed McMahon could take a chop, and the former NXT UK Champion praised the WWE Chairman for his toughness.
“I think he can take it and be fine. He’s a tough man.”
Vince McMahon recently proved toughness when he returned to the ring against Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38 at age 76. After McAfee defeated McMahon’s protégé Austin Theory, he motioned for the Chairman to get in the ring himself. Vince initially looked like he would decline the offer, but then took off his jacket and business shirt, revealing the sleeveless wrestling gear that he’s become known for throughout the years.
Following McMahon’s WrestleMania victory, Stone Cold Steve Austin – who’d made his own in-ring return the night before against Kevin Owens – made an appearance and delivered stunners to everyone involved.
