Goldberg’s upcoming clash with Gunther might not mark the end of his in-ring career.

Goldberg is set to face the WWE Heavyweight Champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event on August 12th in his hometown of Atlanta. But according to his son, Gage, there could be more to come.

In an interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda, Gage was asked what his father would do if he won the match and subsequently the title. The 19-year-old football player replied that, irrespective of the result, the match could reignite Goldberg’s passion for wrestling. He said:

“Yeah, I mean that one I couldn’t even tell you because he has, I wish I had his confidence 100% because he has like anything could happen to him, and it just would go right over his head, he’s still confident as ever and win or lose, he’s going to be, he’s going to get the feel, he’s going to get the itch again that he wants to stay in the ring.”

When asked what advice he would like to give his father, Gage replied:

“Just like prepare as hard as you can like get your mindset right get ready to go kick some ass but I mean that that that would be my mindset too so I’m really just relaying the same message that I would give myself.”
