Gunther Doubles Down On Criticism Of The Undertaker Following WWE LFG Appearance

Gunther has provided a follow-up after he let his feelings be known about The Undertaker’s coaching abilities on WWE LFG.

The World Heavyweight Champion previously appeared on the reality show that sees legends coach aspiring wrestlers who are looking to earn a contract. During his appearance, The Ring General gave his thoughts on Olympic Gold Medalist Tyra Mae Steele, who is part of Undertaker’s group. Seeing the potential in the wrestler, the World Champion asked the Hall of Famer why as her coach he had not realised this yet:

“Why does she not understand by now that she’s a killer? No disrespect, you’re her coach, why doesn’t she understand it yet?”

The Deadman admitted that while at first he was taken aback by the comments, he later acknowledged that the World Champion did have a point.

While appearing as a guest on the Raw Recap, the Raw star was asked if the appearance and stepping up to The Phenom gave him an adrenaline rush:

“Well, there’s no adrenaline rush with that [WWE LFG]. I’ve been teaching and coaching people in professional wrestling since I don’t know how long. It must be more than 10 years now. I know my experience in that and I know what I’m looking for in people and I think in that regard, I have more experience than Taker has himself. I don’t think he coached or trained a lot of people and it was my job that day to point out things I see, and that’s what I did.”

Gunther Segment Hit With Criticism

To continue the build to his World Heavyweight Championship defence against Jey Uso at WrestleMania, The Ring General recently beat down Jey’s brother Jimmy Uso and left him a bloody mess when all was said and done. While many loved the angle involving Gunther and Jey Uso, one WWE Hall of Famer found it to be unnecessary.

In a separate interview, a former WWE star explained how The Undertaker got them in trouble with Vince McMahon.
