John Cena has granted more wishes than anyone else, and now Guinness World Records has recognized another Make-a-Wish milestone!
Despite being a divisive figure amongst fans, John Cena spent the majority of his WWE career preaching the creed of “hustle, loyalty, respect” and serving as a role model to children across the world.
His work with the Make-a-Wish Foundation has been well documented, and he’s the most requested celebrity in history when it comes to granting the wishes of children facing life-threatening illnesses.
Now, Guinness World Records has once again recognized Cena as the man to grant more wishes than anyone in history as he surpasses the milestone of granting 650 wishes for children who need a hero to look up to. No other celebrity has granted more than 200 wishes in the organization’s 42 year history, placing Cena head and shoulders above the rest.
Another milestone with the organization came in 2012 when the 16 time World Champion granted Make-a-Wish’s 1000th wish to a young fan named Cardon.
In 2015, when John Cena was honored for granting 500 wishes, he spoke about how important the experience was to him. Despite his busy schedule as a top WWE Superstar (and now Hollywood icon), he is willing to drop everything and grant a wish for any child in need.
“I just drop everything. If I can offer a fantastic experience, I’ll be first in line to do my part.”
Cena isn’t the only WWE Superstar to set a Guinness World Record, as SmackDown star Natalya recently set three records of her own.
