“It’s A Great Time To Be A Woman In WWE” – Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair has claimed that there’s no better time to be a woman in WWE than right now.

Since defeating Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37 to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Bianca Belair has stood atop WWE’s women’s division.

Despite losing her title to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam, her long-running rivalry with Big Time Becks remained one of the highest profile feuds in the company. This led to her winning the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 38 by pinning Lynch.

During a new interview with Alfonso A. Castillo of Newsday, it was put to the star that “The treatment of women in WWE has been in the news of late.” A reference to the allegations surrounding Vince McMahon.

Castillio asked Belair what it was like to be a woman in WWE, and to work under a primarily male management team.

“I feel like I’m in WWE in an amazing time, when women are really at the forefront of not just the future, but the present. Women are main eventing on a weekly basis on Raw and SmackDown. We’re main eventing at premium live events. We’re main eventing and stealing the show at WrestleMania. Most of the women in WWE are trending on a weekly basis. So, I’m just here in an amazing time. And I’m blessed and fortunate to be the Raw Women’s Champion and be the face of the women’s division on the Raw side . . . It’s just a really great time to be a woman in WWE,”

It has already been confirmed that Belair will be back in action when she defends her Raw Women’s Title against Becky Lynch.
