WWE Superstar Grayson Waller has seemingly mocked CM Punk‘s recent AEW exit in a recent social media post.
Punk was sensationally fired by Tony Khan on 2nd September, with the AEW President claiming that he had feared for his life following Punk’s behaviour at AEW All In on 27th August.
Shortly before a scheduled match with Samoa Joe at the huge event held at Wembley Stadium in London, CM Punk got into a backstage altercation with Jack Perry, with reports suggesting that the Chicago native had also lunged in the direction of Khan.
Waller has wasted no time in poking fun at the incident after an in-ring altercation with the returning Jey Uso at WWE Payback on Saturday.
‘The Aussie Icon’ was hosting the latest edition of his controversial talk show segment ‘The Grayson Waller Effect’ at the premium live event held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with his special guest on this occasion behind ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes.
Rhodes would reveal during the segment that he had used his political stroke to secure the services of ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso, who recently quit WWE SmackDown after Jimmy Uso made a shock return of his own to aid Roman Reigns in defeat Jey in the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship bout at SummerSlam on 5th August.
After Waller had mocked the former WWE Tag Team Champion for departing SmackDown, Uso retaliated with a superkick to flaw the cocky Sydney-born star.
Waller took to social media site ‘X’ to complain about the attack whilst referencing the recent Khan/Punk news, even going as far as to ‘ice’ his chin with a can of Pepsi, a drink favoured by the straight-edged Punk, who even has a tattoo of the logo.
