Good News Emerges For AEW Fans Following Fyter Fest

AEW has a new title

AEW Fyter Fest experiences huge viewership surge.

The recently concluded four-hour special edition of AEW Dynamite & Collision Fyter Fest yielded fruitful results. With the promotion now all geared up for its upcoming All In 2025 PPV in Arlington, Texas, it recently hosted its Fyter Fest show on 4th June 2025, which saw the return of Tay Melo, the in-ring debut of Thekla, and the huge title vs title match announcement for All In.

Now, a couple of days later, after the show, The Programming Insider has released a detailed report on the four-hour TV special event’s viewership and ratings. In its first two hours, the Dynamite portion of the show averaged a total of 655,000 viewers, marking a 3% increase from its last week’s broadcast. It also saw a 4% increase in its four-week average of 630,000 viewers.

Will Ospreay’s in-ring promo saw a massive surge of 803,000 viewers, which later dropped to 604,000 by the end of the third quarter, and then again increased to 726,000 viewers in Q4. Dynamite concluded with 623,000 by 10 PM ET. The June 4th edition of Dynamite also noticed a 12% increase in its 18-49 demographic when it posted a 0.18 number.

Dynamite ranked third for the night among all prime-time cable telecasts, trailing only Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals on TNT and the College Softball World Series on ESPN. Additionally, it secured the eighth position overall when including network broadcasts, marking one of the rare occasions AEW has broken into the top ten across both cable and network television.

However, the Collision part of the show suffered a tragic fate due to its long four-hour run time. According to Wrestlenomics, The Collision part of Fyter Fest averaged a total of 380,000 viewers, a 25% drop from its May 31st episode. Collision posted a 0.10 number, almost half of what Dynamite posted.

With another four-hour special “Summer Blockbuster” booked on June 11th, the promotion looks forward to rectifying its errors.
