The last-ever WWE match for Hall of Famer Goldberg has been made official.
Last year, it was confirmed that Goldberg would have one final match in a WWE ring. Da Man confirmed it himself on the set of SEC Nation on November 2, 2024. Now, that match has been made official.
Making his return tonight on WWE RAW, the former three-time champion confronted Gunther. Goldberg stepped into the ring and challenged The Ring General to a match on July 12, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Stamford-based promotion made it official a short while later.

The match will take place in the 58-year-old’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, in the State Farm Arena. The same arena where the two men last confronted each other.
Goldberg’s last WWE match was more than two years ago
With less than a month to go, Goldberg will need to get back into in-ring shape quickly. After all, it has been a while since he last stepped into a WWE ring.
His last match was more than two years ago, when he once again challenged a WWE Champion. Last time around, he was in the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia, where he went head-to-head with then-Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Unfortunately, he could not get the job done then, but he will be looking to secure a different outcome on July 12, 2025.
