Goldberg Says He’d “Love To Have One More Match”

Goldberg Says He'd

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg, who last wrestled in 2022, has opened up about the possibility of returning to the ring, expressing a keen interest in having one last match.

Despite his absence from the ring, Goldberg has remained vocal about his desire for a retirement match, expressing his frustration at not having received one from Vince McMahon in the past. In a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, the Hall of Famer was asked about the prospect of having one last match. He responded with enthusiasm, saying:

Oh man, I’d love to, dude, 100%.

However, he emphasised the need to address his torn rotator cuff, which he sustained during his return with Brock Lesnar. Goldberg revealed that he had kept this injury hidden and had been working through it due to his sparing wrestling schedule. He expressed his determination to undergo the necessary medical procedures to address the injury, stating:

I blew my rotator cuff completely, and I never told anybody about it. I kept working through it because you work sparingly, once, twice a year. So I can crescendo and I can get as strong as I can. I ain’t doing shit until I get that done, and that’s hopefully coming up.

Despite the challenges, he reiterated his strong desire for a final match, expressing gratitude to Vince McMahon for the opportunities he has been given.

When asked whether his last match would have to be in WWE or if he would consider AEW, Goldberg emphasised that it did not have to be with any specific company. He expressed a willingness to organise the event himself, even considering international locations such as Israel, India, Japan, and possibly the United States. Goldberg also shared personal insights into his life, detailing the sacrifices he made for his son and his renewed focus on self-care now that his son has moved on.

Goldberg’s candid revelations about his physical and emotional journey have sparked speculation among wrestling fans about the possibility of witnessing the WWE Hall of Famer in action once again. As Goldberg aptly stated:

You never know, you never say never. You know as wrestlers we never retire until you’re dead.

What Match In WCW Scared Goldberg “Sh*tless?”

Goldberg spoke about how in his match with Scott Hall in WCW he botched a spot and he didn’t know how to recover from the mishap and that scared him. However, that moment made him realise more about how wrestling works and helped him learn and move forward.

Speaking in a new interview, Goldberg could appear at an unlikely event.
