Goldberg Has Revealed His “Dream” Retirement Match Location

Goldberg cuts a promo on WWE SmackDown

Goldberg is all set for his final match.

In a wrestling career spanning nearly three decades, the WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is one of the most celebrated wrestlers of all time. Transitioning from football, Goldberg quickly made his name in the industry.

Last wrestled at Elimination Chamber 2022, the Hall of Famer is now heavily rumored to wrestle his retirement match soon. Recently, during an interview with the San Antonio-based outlet MySA, Goldberg had teased his final match location. With the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event now announced for July 12th in his hometown of Atlanta, fans expect the former Universal Champion to wrestle his final bout there.

However, in another recent appearance on The Claw podcast with Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich, Goldberg revealed his hypothetical “dream” retirement match location. Friends with Wrestling Israel’s promoter, the veteran wants to retire in Israel.

“I’ll do anything for my faith. Truth be told, my dream was to have my retirement match in Israel. Quite obviously, because of the surroundings right now and over the past five years, it just hasn’t been the right place to do it. I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that I was sorely disappointed that I couldn’t do something in Israel, but retired doesn’t mean dead.

I would be honored to go out there at some point, I really would. Never say never, but we’ve been trying to do it for the past number of years and it didn’t work out. Fingers crossed, that’s all you can do.”

Goldberg Gets Candid About His Current Relationship With Brock Lesnar

In the same interview on The Claw podcast, Goldberg opened up on his relationship with Brock Lesnar.

You know, Brock(Lesnar) and I have always been the same. You know, We’re very cordial. We respect each other exponentially, I believe. Brock is a different animal, man, I mean literally. He is a competitive human being that never turns himself off. And, we all know him, I mean everybody knows him on a different level. But we are good friends, man. We don’t keep in contact that much because he is a recluse. His enjoyment is keeping away from the human race. I respect that exponentially.”
