Bill Goldberg has confirmed that he still has one match remaining on his WWE contract.
Goldberg recently defeated Bobby Lashley in a No Holds Barred at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. The match saw Goldberg gain revenge on Lashley for attacking his son at SummerSlam earlier this year.
After standing tall at the end of the match, many fans wondered whether that might have been the last time that they would see the star in a WWE ring. However, in a recent interview with Ring Rules, the WWE Hall of Famer disclosed that his WWE contract is not quite finished.
“I still feel as though I can wrestle, I still feel as though I can entertain. I have one more after this match, I have one more match on my contract and that’s it. We’ll see what happens. You never know.”
The star has been signed to a part-time contract with WWE since his return to the promotion in 2016.
The former WCW Champion made his comeback to WWE that October, ending a 12-year hiatus. Goldberg appeared on a episode of Monday Night Raw, accepting a challenge made by Paul Heyman to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.
The resulting match served up one of the most shocking encounters in recent memory with Goldberg pinning Lesnar in 90 seconds. After going on to defeat Universal Champion Kevin Owens at Fastlane, Goldberg was beaten by Lesnar at WrestleMania 33.
The WCW legend has continued to appear for the company sporadically, winning the Universal Championship again in 2020 after defeating ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown.
