Ric Flair has taken a shot at his haters, including a WWE veteran who told him to “shut up.”
There is no denying that Ric Flair is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, and one who is highly respected. However, recently, The Nature Boy has come under a lot of criticism, and it has everything to do with his controversial comments regarding another legend, Jim Ross.
Flair took to X, where he seemingly called out Jim Ross for seeking attention in light of the latter’s recent colon cancer diagnosis. As expected, he received a ton of backlash from fans and veterans alike. One veteran was very blunt with Flair, simply telling him to “shut up,” and it was none other than Dutch Mantell.
Mantell called out Flair on his podcast, Story Time with Dutch Mantell. This, of course, did not sit well with Ric Flair, who chose to respond to Dutch on X. Similar to his reaction to Ross, Flair made mention of Mantell’s health issues, claiming the “anger” Mantell puts out stems from the “pain” he feels.
He then doubled down on these comments with a follow-up tweet, claiming he tries to be “nice to everyone,” before boasting about how much money he makes and telling his haters to “go F” themselves.
Dutch, Everyone Is Always Going To Think Of You As A Veteran That’s Not Allowed To Have An Opinion. But I Sympathize With Your Health Issues, And Hope You Recover & Return To Top Health. You Have Always Been A Good Guy. The Anger You Pour Out At Everybody Is Clearly Coming From The Pain You Feel. Please Stay Strong!
I Try To Be Nice To Everybody. God Only Knows That I’ve Spent More Money On Spilt Liquor In One Year Than People Have In A Lifetime. I Tried Being Nice, And This Is My Last Message To Everyone. I’ve Got More Money Than I’ve Got Time. Go F Yourself Haters. No Comment Needed. Live With It! Actually Learn To Love It! Get Back To Me Again When You Make 3 Million Dollars A Year At The Age Of 76. That’s What FAMOUS Gets. And By The Way, I Don’t Recognize Anyone In This Conversation Who Is Famous.”

These are certainly some controversial takes from the Hall of Famer. It will be interesting to see how the fans respond to his comments.
Ric Flair claimed his comments on Jim Ross were a joke
As mentioned earlier, Ric Flair seemingly called out Jim Ross for seeking attention. While he has deleted his initial tweet, he did put up a follow-up response, claiming what he said was a joke.
Flair criticised fans on X for not being able to take a joke from a 76-year-old man, adding that they take life “too seriously.” He claimed it was “lighthearted fun” and that he just wanted to make people “smile.”
Either way, his actions did not go over well with the fans, which has led to backlash and the responses as seen earlier.
