“Give Me The Bag” – Former WWE Star Responds To Reports Of AEW Forbidden Door Appearence

AEW Superstar Buddy Matthews alongside former WWE Stars Kalisto, Akira Tozawa and KENTA.

A former WWE Star has told Tony Khan what it will take to see him compete at the upcoming Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

Recently rumours have surfaced that a match between two former WWE Superstars would collide inside an AEW ring.

Forbidden Door returns on 25th June and will once again see a crossover between AEW and NJPW Stars.

KENTA has taken to social media to increase speculation on a match between him and CM Punk after releasing a tweet suggesting that all it will take is money.

Previously known as Hideo Itami in WWE NXT, the former IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion directed the following message to Tony Khan in response to artwork promoting a match with Punk:

“Oh hell no. Tell Tony Khan

GIVE ME THE BAG”

The rivalry between the pair began over Punk’s use of the Go To Sleep finisher which KENTA claims he stole from him.

Despite never facing each other in the ring before, KENTA has previously angled for a match.

With CM Punk set to return to action next weekend, this could be the ideal time for the Bullet Club member to exact his desired revenge.

AEW Forbidden Door Wide Open After Bryan Danielson Challenge

Bryan Danielson burst through the Forbidden Door by challenging NJPW Star Kazuchika Okada to a match.

Okada had just finished competing in a tag team match at NJPW Dominion last Sunday when Danielson appeared on video to issue a challenge to face off at the AEX x NJPW Forbidden Door event.

Teaming with Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii to retain the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships, Okada was able to defeat two of Danielson’s BCC members in Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli.

At last year’s Forbidden Door, Okada took part in an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Four Way match against Adam Cole, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, and Jay White.

During his challenge, Bryan Danielson made clear that he has been watching Okada from afar and claimed that to be recognised as one of the all-time greats, Okada would need to go through him.

For the last ten years I have heard people talk about great you are. How you’re the best wrestler of this generation.

And I have also heard in interviews you said that you wanted to wrestle me. That you want to fight me.

Watching you… I know you’re good. But I am the litmus test of great.

You wanna wrestle Bryan Danielson? You call yourself the Rainmaker.

Well you step in the ring with me and you’re getting into the f***ing desert, and there aint going to be no rain.

Okada has accepted Danielson’s challenge and the bout joins Will Ospreay v Kenny Omega on the card.
