Giulia No Longer Expected At WWE NXT Heatwave: Update On Return Plans

Giulia

A new report gives an update on Giulia’s WWE NXT status.

For months, rumors swirled that STARDOM standout Giulia could be headed to WWE. The star competed in her final STARDOM match on March 31st, and after making a surprise appearance at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Monday Magic show on April 1st, she confirmed that she was a free agent.

Giulia made waves once again when she appeared at NXT Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania weekend, sitting in the front row next to William Regal.

The star raised questions about her future when it was announced that she’ll be involved with former STARDOM head Rossy Ogawa’s new Marigold promotion, and it appears Guilia will be splitting her time between Marigold and WWE.

While it was initially reported that Giulia’s debut was set for NXT Heatwave on July 7th, things took a turn when she injured her wrist and was forced to undergo surgery.

When Will Giulia Debut In WWE NXT?

Now, Fightful Select sheds more light on the star’s future, confirming that the star will not be at Heatwave on Sunday as she’ll be on the road with Marigold. As of now, there are no known plans to show the star on video or feature her in any way on the show.

However, the report goes on to not that she’s expected to feature at the next NXT PLE, though the date and location of the next big outing for NXT has yet to be confirmed. Sources within the company expect the next show to take place over SummerSlam weekend, and they also indicate that WWE officials want the star on screen “as soon as possible” while also acknowledging that she needs to fulfil her commitments to Marigold first.

While Giulia has yet to be cleared to compete, Fightful Select reports that she is expected to be cleared by the time she faces Sareee at Marigold Summer Destiny on July 13th.

According to Fightful Select, “everything is on the table” when it comes to creative plans for the star’s debut. It’s expected that she’ll challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship, but this is far from set in stone.

Fightful Select notes that she signed an official contract with WWE over the weekend of WrestleMania.
