NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Gigi Dolin paid tribute to the late independent star Jimmy Rave on the latest episode of NXT 2.0.
On the most recent episode of NXT, Dakota Kai clashed with Cora Jade. But it was Jade who picked up the win after Kai went to pull out a shovel and got intercepted by the referee, leaving Jade score the roll-up.
However, the biggest story came after the bell. Kai attacked her rival before Raquel Gonzalez evened the score. Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin and Jaycy Jayne) then provided a distraction of their own, giving Mandy Rose chance to attack Jade as well.
During the action, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Dolin was paying tribute to the late Jimmy Rave who passed away only days before the show, by wearing one of his t-shirts.

Jimmy Rave, whose real name is James Michael Duffey, passed away on December 12th, 2021.
Rave began his career in 1999, before heading to Ring of Honor, NJPW, and TNA – now IMPACT Wrestling. During his time in the ring, Rave won the NWA Junior World Heavyweight Championship twice also becoming the Iron Man Champion in Combat Zone Wrestling.
Rave passed away in Philadelphia, where he was living with Gabby Gilbert.
Elsewhere on NXT 2.0 Harland made his long-awaited in-ring debut. Though he was initially compared to Brock Lesnar even before he signed with WWE, Harland (real name Parker Boudreaux) donned a new look and has been accompanying Joe Gacy on the most recent episodes of NXT 2.0.
After weeks of being in the background as Gacy called for a “safe space” in wrestling, Harland finally made his in-ring debut on the December 14th episode, easily defeating Guru Raaj.
After the match, Joe Gacy asked Harland if he felt better, but the monster shook his head, indicating that further destruction was needed. Harland re-entered the ring to inflict more damage to Guru Raaj before being calmed by Gacy at the behest of a number of NXT producers.
