Drew McIntyre had a sweet message for Cody Rhodes, but a sinister agenda was hidden behind it.
On the August 15 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the Scottish Warrior came with an explanation regarding his last week’s heinous actions. He began explaining everything from his perspective and justified his actions.
He questioned Joe Tessitore about Rhodes’ medical update, stating whether the management is hiding something after what he did to their ‘golden boy.’ McIntyre claimed that he did not attack Rhodes and that everybody’s eyes are lying to them. It was Rhodes who attacked him.
He then went to the ringside, showing how Rhodes bashed him to the ring post, even after the match was legally over. McIntyre then cleared the announce table, just like Rhodes did last week. He then stated that Rhodes was going to put him through the table, so he defended himself.

McIntyre added that the reason behind Rhodes’s action might be the fact that he told the American Nightmare to defeat Cena and win the title, so that McIntyre could beat Rhodes to claim the title from him. The Scottish Warrior warned Rhodes before leaving-
You made the first move, but you biggest mistake was Cody Rhodes is so good at pissing people off, Drew McIntyre is so good at taking poeple out. If you provoke me, I will do very, very violent things. If you provoke me, I’m the real nightmare. Get well soon.” (0:47 – 1:20)
"I'm not the bad guy. If you provoke me, I will do very, very violent things. If you provoke me, I'm the real nightmare. Get well soon."

Drew McIntyre’s Attack On Cody Rhodes Last Week
Following the disqualification defeat on August 8, SmackDown main event, McIntyre crossed every limit while attacking the Undisputed WWE Champion. He took the championship and hit Rhodes with it on his head, knocking him down.
The officials stormed to the ringside to save the champion and take McIntyre away from him. Just as he was about to leave, McIntyre delivered the most damage to Rhodes. He hit him with a Claymore kick through the announce table on the ringside and was taken backstage by medical staff.
There is no update on when Rhodes will return or how serious his injury is. The WWE Universe is concerned for their champion’s well-being and hopes for a fast recovery.
